Powerful, Quiet, and Extremely Reliable – Developed for Efficient Volume Reduction of Metal Swarf
The KB14 metal swarf & chip crusher is a quiet and energy-efficient solution designed for the volume reduction of long and bushy metal chips in controlled chip flows. This robust crusher utilizes low-speed operation to break down steel swarf into short fragments suitable for centrifuging, briquetting, or further processing. With its compact design and minimal maintenance wear, the KB14 delivers high operational reliability when chips are fed in a controlled manner from machine tools or conveyors. Swedish-manufactured quality with a noise level below 73 dB(A), allowing for seamless installation directly in production areas.
The KB14, like all crushers in the KB series, can be installed as a standalone crusher or integrated into complete chip handling systems together with conveyors, centrifuges, briquetting equipment and fluid separation. The consistent chip size that the KB14 produces creates stable flow and high reliability in subsequent process steps.

The KB14 is a compact, low-speed chip crusher with slightly higher capacity than the KB10 and a robust design intended for continuous industrial operation. The machine has a conical feed hopper with rotating feed arm that provides a steady flow of bushy chips to the crushing head, where the material is ground down into short chip fragments of uniform size.
Unlike the KB10 & KB20, the KB14 is not equipped with bar end ejection, which means that solid objects cannot pass through the crusher. The model is therefore best suited for installations where chips are fed in a controlled manner and where solid parts do not occur. This provides stable operation and low maintenance.
The chips are fed into the hopper and caught by the feed arm, which provides a steady and stable flow into the crushing zone. At the bottom, the crushing head works against the stationary ring and breaks down the material into short and free-flowing chip fragments. The finished fragments fall directly out through the outlet for further handling, such as centrifuging, briquetting or transport.
The KB14 is designed for installations where chips are fed in a controlled manner, for example directly from machining centres or conveyors. When the chip flow is kept free from solid pieces, the model delivers a very reliable and consistent crushing result, with low load on the crushing components and thus low maintenance requirements and high operational reliability.
With these options, the KB14 can be integrated effectively into both simple and more advanced chip systems without changing the machine's function or capacity.
The KB14 is a robust and low-speed chip crusher designed for high operational reliability and long service life in demanding industrial environments.
